the fish is gorgeous would highly recommend fish butty it doesn't repeat on u like most fish does cause too greasy where chain lane fisheries there NOT GREASY IN ANYWAY WILL DEFFO BE GOING AGAIN

Best thing for me is the portion sizes. So many chippies nowadays call enough chips for two or three people a "small chips". Here, it's one decent portion per person and if you're really hungry, ask for two!

Really not sure why this is a 4.9 rating, friends and family I think. It was OK but not somewhere I will go back too. The people are lovely but the fish is a real let down. It was very thin, so it will hardly retain any moisture and fish taste. The batter was OK but it doesnt compensate, nothing special. I have had much better nearby in Boroughbridge a thats only 3.8, go figure. As a Londoner fresh to Yorkshire, I will be trying another place soon.
