Probably the best pub grub we've had!Fresh, well cooked veg. The Lamb was very nice. Apparently it was the best risotto my girlfriend has ever had!Booking recommended.Dogs allowed and made to feel welcome.
This place has undergone new management and I couldnt be happier. The new management are passionate about restoring the historical building and embracing the heritage behind it. This could not be more important for an area like Knaresborough, which ought to protect its heritage above all else. Ask the owners about the history, and you will be sure to learn something new and interesting! Also, the beer garden is the best in Knaresborough without any doubt. Its my new favourite pub in Knaresborough, and Ive been to them all.

We visited on a quiet Wednesday night and were extremely well looked after by the landlord. I believe it's really busy in the summer, but in the winter it's quite a romantic place to go.
Went to mother Shipton's just after Halloween. They had some great activities for young ones. And everyone was friendly (apart from the Wizard, in fun) They are dog friendly as well and enjoyed the walk round.
