Very central and close to many amenities. Fantastic vibe and great staff. Lovely outdoor area for all those smokers. They've done a fantastic refurbishment on this place and it's great for parties and bands. Upstairs is really chilled with board games and plenty to do. Definitely recommend.
Superb bar serving a good selection of well kept cask and craft beers. Friendly staff, varied events and amazing Sunday lunch. What's not to like!!!

Nice little pub with a courtyard at the back. Quite a good choice of real ales but a couple of them at Belgian beer prices. Had live music on in the evening.
I realise that this place is under new management, but they are already 100% up to speed. Great food for a Sunday roast. Great ales. Fabulous welcome and such a lovely warm atmosphere. I would CERTAINLY visit here again. And as its just between the historic castle and market square you can't go wrong for a great day out
