Friendly traditional pub, prices on the high side for this sort of establishment. They do good old karaoke on a Saturday. For a small establishment the effort is there and can be a very funny and enjoyable evening. The rest of the time nice and quiet for a read of the newspaper. Out back there is a beer area under cover, very above the average pub. Bed race day a must as often there is a live band and guest beer area. All in all for a small local it does offer a good place for certain local events, great locality, try it!!

Dined there today 03/10/2018 Steak and Ale pie lovely. Best pint of landlord that I have ever had. Owners great. Definitely recommend
The most surprising thing to me was that Old Royal Oak's rooms were so spacious, unusually big rooms. Other than that, it was a typical British bed and breakfast. The staff was very friendly. Parking was free but very limited. Don't be cheated if you see a restaurant when entering its front door. Their rooms are at rear. Overall a good stay.
Reasonable bed & breakfast at the back of the pub smack in the center of the town. Good customer service & excellent breakfast. Room had high wood beamed ceilings and wifi. Ensuite toilet needs refurbishing especially the shower. Free water with tea making facilities and fluffy towels. It looks like there has been some investment in the furniture. Parking available on a first come first served basis.
